Seeing problems for old servers at ARR release?

I dunno, Tonkra. I think you're counting your chickens before they hatch... and you're giving them all distorted, scary chicken faces. (Just like when the redenomination scare was all the rage around here.)

Part of the reason they're not allowing established 1.0 characters to move into the "brand new" servers is to preserve the also "brand new" economies on those servers without having an army of financially-established characters running the market.

and to your seconds point.. well it did not hurt me either in FF11, when i joined the game after two years in the EU launch of FF11. just maybe the total opposite.
i was more like "woah i wanna become a fire man.. no ... a pirate.. ah damn.. i mean a fabulous Dragoon!" when i saw a lv 60+ Dragoon in full artifact armor and his beautiful wyvern.

i think it can be good for mixing up old and new players...for both sides. to each his own.


but well i can easily imagine that there are many players out of there who are afraid of established economies. because they want to be the first one on the rank list (the speed runners)


but speaking of my Final Fantasy 11 experience it was just great to see these established "heroes" it felt like a a lively world, because there already have been those "ancient" heroes

and it was a game with an already increased level 75 cap at that time.. with 2-3 addons already. not just a game which received a revamp with a little additional level content. the gils are going to be already cut down in ARR for old players.

and on the contrast.. who of the low level players is going to buy a lv 10 armor for 50k gil if no one can afford this? these articles would just end as a bad seller.


im not saying that there shouldnt be complete "clean" servers at release. but im saying also that old players should receive also new servers to play on.. especially when the old ones are going to be maybe completely over-crowded.
