Seeing problems for old servers at ARR release?

your "OLD" Characters, not players. Cannot transfer to new servers, only the old servers. So if you want to play on new server, you can do so by creating new characters instead.

Also old characters can transfer to other old servers at launch.

but thats the point.. when you want to keep your characters? and the old servers are overcrowded? "please try to log in later" you are imprisoned and cant do anything about it.
yes, you can move to an other over-crowded old server.

i personally dont want to begin from lv 1... like other players who may also have "just" lv 30 characters on their account.


so i dont get your "argument". its a 2 year old game with mostly grown up characters and a server cluster who contains character datas of 3 servers but only having the capacity of one.

if everybody wants to play their old characters when they reactivate their accounts for what is your argument for?

Apologies in advance if this is confusing:

SE seems to be planning to open up servers for existing (version 1) characters in all 3 regions, as well as allowing enough room for all version 1 players to return and reactivate their characters. In other words, there could be more ARR servers for version 1 characters than there were in version 1.

SE has mentioned they would allow each character one transfer to one of these new "existing character" servers at launch. If you don't choose a server, your character will transfer to a default server, to avoid splitting up your version 1 server's community.

I think this because people may want to transfer their existing characters to their region. Also maybe to deal with all the inactive characters on each server (people who quit and never came back), who will probably reactivate to try their ARR free month. (Remember there was a 2-to-1 server merge last year, and all those inactive characters are still around.)
