Fun Fact I recently discovered about Soken: He was the sound editor in Crystal Chronicles.
This made him 30% more awesome in my books. It also means I have faith in whatever he cooks up. <3

Veldt doesn't match soo good for Couerl IMHO :/
I prefer a totally new soundtrack from Soken \o\
Momo Ochita From Ragnarok
I like that they use different music than the chocobo but I can't see them making specific riding soundtracks for each mount released. I think that would be waaaay to costly considering the amount of mounts they have shown us that are in the works for the future. That being said, if they were to do it, you hit the nail on the head. The music fits really well.
I think this one would fit as well, from FFX

Stop trying to make me go back and play FFX before the HD version comes out! :P
I put my faith in Soken to come up with something that fits this mount perfectly.
I have within me the blood of legends!
Before you get too excited...
In the video it was playing the Goobue music when he was on Coeurl mount.. might be a generic for all the advanced mounts....

I'm not upset too much, because I really like that music track, so I'll be able to deal.

Jungle love By Steve Miller band would the best....>..> <..< O.oIf we are truly implementing something as exotic as a coeurl mount, it needs a good theme song.
Obviously the coeurl is more of a savannah or jungle type species, so I thought that one of the better options for theme music would be the Veldt theme. It has an upbeat, engaging feel to it, with an addicting rhythm great for travel; In my personal opinion, it would be the perfect option. Perhaps any combination of these will help inspire Yoshida's team.
Here are examples of the original Veldt theme, and some remixes:
Original
Remastered
Keyboard rendition
Guitar Rendition
Bass Remix
Edit: With the confirmation that all CE players get the coeurl mount, I think this topic deserves a little more visibility. What do others think about the song choice?

Months late for a response, I know, but I think now that we've heard more of the ARR music in the tours and whatnot it's easier to make an educated guess as to what would fit.My friend, your opinion just made my day. (And probably Kumi Tanioka's as well.)
However, there is inherent risk in using Crystal Chronicles-styled music outside of the CC games. Tanioka has developed a very distinctive style for the series that is reminiscent of old English folk music and makes strong use of certain types of instruments. Taking it outside the CC universe could cause some of the magic to be lost from it.
So, I'd be inclined to see some of the melodic themes adopted, but not the same instruments.
Personaly, I think the Leuda theme would be most fitting. (Or is that just me having a thing for unusual time signatures...?)
I agree that if everyone mimicked Tanioka's FFCC score it would detract from those games' allure (or at least the original's). I'd love to see that series resurface at some point, and I hope Tanioka is willing to return along with it.
On the other hand, in the Tour of Eorzea (Part 2) we here very medieval music during the midlander's run through Thanalan. (Hammerlea, I think). I think the various composers working on ARR at the moment have the same mindset Tanioka did back then: the music is key to help create a medieval atmosphere. Whatever they choose, as long as the Coeurl mount music falls in line with this mindset, I'm sure it'll be just as good as any of our suggestions. There's no need to rip straight from other games.
Bad knee-socks! Make it so!
