Name in Credits - Registration Now Open

Hello everyone!

Just a couple of things to note about the names registered for credits.

First, all names will be accepted at first, but if we determine that a certain name cannot be used, we will send an email to the address registered to your Square Enix Account after the registration period is over, asking you to re-register.

Also, in the event that multiple people enter the same exact name, it will only be displayed once. For example, if 10 people registered “Naoki Yoshida,” this name would only appear once.

Would have been nice if our Country/Server (depeding on what Name one did choose, RL/ingame) would be shown beside the Name

Well, I got two FFXIV services and one of them (#1) is closed while #2 is the one with my character and Legacy. When I wanted to submit my name, I saw that it says "Final Fantasy XIV 1" but no option to select "Final Fantasy XIV 2". Will this matter while sending in my name?

Camate, can you tell us if the surname field will be adjusted so that it no longer auto-corrects hyphens, spaces and capital letters?

I would like to use my real name, but my last name is hyphenated. The form takes out the hyphen.

There are several others in this thread who have expressed similar concerns.

I looked in the phone book and seen my real name posted several times but never once was my character's name. So I am going with my character's name - seems more unique

I hope it's because of something good, like you're getting married, and not that you have a terminal illness or are aware of the impending destruction of Earth.

I've had this name for the last fifteen years (Started as a character in a story I wrote and evolved) this just adds to my character's never-ending story.

Regarding the Legacy credits registration, we have been receiving numerous requests from various regions asking to increase the character sets that can be accepted and also decrease the minimum length required.

To fulfill these requests and have more names to be included in the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn credits, we are currently looking into this matter.

Further details including the list of new character sets that can be accepted will be announced once the conclusion is set.

In addition, we are also planning to allow the Legacy players to re-register their name. Further details will be announced once they become available.
