    Square Enix’s New President Plans To Review The Entire Company - ARR incert future?

    “After having succeeded the important role as the president, I plan on reviewing all Square Enix duties, business and assets on a zero-based budgeting standpoint. Due to the radical change of environment, I’d like to fundamentally review what works and what doesn’t work for our company, then cast all of our resources towards extending what makes us successful and thoroughly squeezing out what doesn’t.

    As far as a concrete plan on what to expect from us, I will further explain it on another briefing session in the near future, so I kindly ask for your patience. Thank you for your support.”


    Ok Yoshi said to not worry... But here there is the plan of the new president:

    -More funds to what works
    -Less funds to what doesn't


    So if ARR fails to bring old and new customer....

    That's depressing. Since ARR is a re-launch and no game has pulled that off, the chance of it being a huge success are low (especially as it offers nothing new or unique mmo-wise)

    Also, Wada is staying on at Square-Enix, but in a different, as-yet-unannounced capacity. Maybe he will continue to be a guest star on the live letters? We can only hope!

    FFXIV ARR is better but offers nothing new or unique to the MMO world. It the same old cut and paste stuff from other games just in a Final Fantasy setting.

    FFXIV ARR really have noting new to bring to the table. FATE is from other game rift also have it. CS/Story telling FFXI does it so does many other games. PVP every mmo on the market have it. House many other mmo does this and many F2P go crazy with the housing system.

    So at the end there noting to bring back new player base it's just copy/paste from other games put in ff setting like i said. Don't get me wrong FFXIV ARR look great i love how it turning out but sadly there noting to bring new players and make them stay in FFXIV without them leaving soon as there game get a new patch.

    Let's hope most of us are wrong and yoshi-p does have new stuff they just not telling us but that just wishful thinking.

    I'm sorry, but what other traits are you expecting, live rabbits to pop out of the screen? They set out to create an MMORPG, and didn't they already said a Gold Saucer like area is in the works? not to mention PvP. What is it you want SE to add that would fit the MMORPG they intend to make?

    "Oh rift has this", "Wow has that" These lines are so tired.

    If the story is as deep as 1.0, with regular revelations and updates to keep it interesting throughout ARR's lifespan, it will outshine all other MMOs.

    There are a good few other features I'm looking forward to talking about that would set ARR apart from what's currently on the market.

    Also, dat card game.
