Is there a time limit on how long a LS/Grand Company can have the Primal in their possession? They can't have it forever and decide not to use it, can they?

Maybe I didn't say it clearly, but...

i think there are 2 different system in plan.

• weapon primal, you go to instance and fight for weapon drop
• summoning primal, LS can claim them...spawn with time slot. only 1 in a world. if LS use it, then its free again after helping LS. despawn after certain time no use too

yoshi-p give many example on how it would work so i give you a few.

He said if LS/FC got ifrit they would need to fill in a bar first "He did not give any info on how to fill this bar" You have a limit of 1Week to fill this bar. If you don't fill the bar you lose the primal and it would return back to the world. If you did not summon your primal within the set time it would return back to the world.

Once you summon a primal all of eorzea would know that your FC/LS have summon a primal. They be a weather happening he give a example of the sky turning red if you summon ifrit.

I hope there more too it then just the sky turning red maybe ash falling from the sky if it other primal it be snow or strong winds and so on.


Last information he give was something like if you summon a primal your LS/FC would have a time limit before you can go out and get the primal again. Sadly he give no information if you can go out and get different i primal or if you lock out of them all to the time is over.

Remember all this example he give could be 100 different by the time FFXIV ARR get release but i'm sure it be somewhat the same.

Thats a little more reassuring if theres a time limit after you get the summon, so other people have chances to get them too. I don't think there would be a time limit period once one has been summoned. Yoshi is smart I am sure he will come up with a good strategy, and he has a great team helping him
