Roaming Primals?

They seem to have backed off of this a bit. Primals will be instanced, but in some way we don't know yet the instance itself will be somewhat roaming. Meanwhile, FATE versions of each primal are at least on the drawing board (though not quite to the planning board yet). Beyond that - not much can be said.

There is no FATE primal that was just for marketing pretty much a PR thing.

Odin is a elder primal i think i remember that he lost his memory. Each time he dies he learn something which make him stronger each time he kill he drop better items.

Yoshi-p said that Odin going to get to the point that only players with the best gear can take him down. At the start he would be somewhat easy and not drop that many good items but as people kill him he remember more and more and he drop better loot and become stronger.

But ya sorry for the player who was thinking the primal are in the FATE that just for marketing. But you know they could change there mind but it seem dumb that they would pop in a FATE the roaming instance make more sense.

Sounds to me like they're going to start as instanced fights (sounds like static location rather than roaming since they may be involved in the main story, but hard to say at this point), and then later be reimplemented as FATEs or something similar. They certainly have seemed to back away a bit from making them completely roaming, but perhaps not abandoning it entirely. I think we're just gonna have to wait and see for ourselves, unfortunately.

I don't remember hearing about Odin getting stronger, though I don't doubt that the info is authentic. It worried me a bit because there's going to be hard-core groups seeking him out and defeating him constantly, quickly raising the difficulty to a point where it would be hard for less die hard groups to ever take him out even once unless there's a certain maximum he'll cap at...

he cap at a level but it would be to the point that only the top players can take him on. But that the point of this primal is to give top players something fun to fight and drop awesome loot.

He said at some point that they would like to implement Primals as FATEs in at some point in the future, which is what I was referring to.

As long as he caps I'm cool with it, it's a neat idea. A difficult fight is good, but if it got harder without bound, it just takes a single LS/FC to crank it up to the point where only they can challenge it (or maybe not even them anymore...)



Yeah I remember that idea about primals being a special 1-time group summon after defeating it open world from fairly early on in ARR's development. One just has to wonder how closely they're sticking to that.

Ya he caps but once they make the level cap like 55 or 60 i'm guessing his cap would also be fix and drop better item for that level. Which mean odin could be a primal that we could enjoy for years to come.

He said at some point that they would like to implement Primals as FATEs in at some point in the future, which is what I was referring to.
