Things will get awkward if you fell out with a "friend" and still have to live next to him/her. (and they refuse to move away)

Why would things be awkward even if you hated your neighbour's guts? I don't have anything to do with any of my neighbours in real life and we live in the same building. Just because players are side by side doesn't mean they have to interact.

If everyone just got on with their lives and let go of so much bitterness and hate, I think the world would be a much happier place... Even if people can't let go of those self destructive emotions, all they have to do is ignore the other person and there won't be any drama. *Shrug* Seems simple enough to me at least.

I have people I hate but that I have to interact with. Whenever that situation comes up, I treat those people as cordially as I would a stranger and then I forget about it and it's as though they cease to exist. I'd never move away from them or expect them to move away from me because it isn't worth that much hassle to either of us, no matter what they've/I've done.

Live and let live, wherever we each may be.

I dont think "neighbor" was the reference, maybe than roommate who shared the cost of the house or e-spouse would be a better description.
