    [dev1037] Battle Effects

    I don't think making the effects bigger will work for everything. For some magics .... sure... but I think some Skills lack so much that even in a bigger form they look like nothing. For example the Marauder Skills are mostly very simple and when you make this effect bigger I think they are still very simple.

    But making them bigger is a goot first step.

    Great first step thank you so much.

    Is that it? Will there be more improvements?

    It's not that animations are to small to appreciate it's that most are recycled and disappointing to say the least. Will you be improving the effects in any other way? in a future update?

    This. They haven't said "Hey, we've been looking into this and decided we'll change size of animations. And that's all.", have they?
    I think it's a good idea to post our feelings with this, but IMHO sentences like "C'mon SE, THIS IS ALL YOU CAN DO? Meh..." and such doesn't really help.
    We do really need to stop switching on the "Danger!" button every time we are told any planned change...

    I agree. I think making spell animations bigger is just a quick fix.

    I think it would be more helpful to point out things we think need tweaking than to rant "Is that it?!". I've noticed that some actions look as though they are double or triple attacks but only do one attack worth of damage. It feels a little awkward and it would be nice if SE could fix them when they have time.

    I like the enhancement of the battle effects. I hope the [visual] enhancement will also include vivid additional animations for particular battle effects. Example: BATTLE REGIMENS!!!!!!! Please make these combos (or some of the combos) visually distinctive--instead of just pink limbs, weapons, and monsters.

    I think is a good first step I can't even understand why the skills looked so small and unimpressive in the first place, as they were always great peaces of art in the play station final fantasy.

    I just saw a video of flare and I said "you got to be kidding me" so the most powerful BM spell after ultima in the history of ff looks like Fire? It should be much more impressive and extremely bigger. Also tornado looks like a f***rt... why not make it look like a real tornado like it used to on ff series?

    On a side note, I would love to see the normal designation of skills fire fira firaga, instead of fire1 fire2 fire3. It is simple to change and honestly, it looks so much better.

    To be fair, they were numbered back in classic FF games (I-VI and I think VII?), and an easier way to note the difference could be the way XI did it. Fire for single target, Fira or Firaga for aoe. But yeah, spells such as Flare, Break, Flood, Tornado, Freeze, and eventually Ultima, Holy, and Meteo/Meteor (if those are implemented) need to look powerful. Fairly quick to keep the flow of battle going, but still powerful.
