Are they getting rid of the job system?

Anyone know if they're getting rid of the job system for ARR?

the class/job system is totally pointless and confusing.

they should just combine classes and jobs into one thing.

who agrees that this is a horrible system which should be scrapped?

it's a real turn off to new players, because it makes no sense.

anyway, I only made this thread because there was an FFXIV discussion going on at a different forum, and people said they wouldn't give ARR a chance because the job system in this game is crap.

so I was wondering if they're going to change it...

tell me and appease my psychological interest :3 what makes you important then others who ask the same question in a legitimate sense is it true you wish to lead a rebellion of your own ideals against our societal views on the situation? or do you just not really care? and are merely doing these things to sate an issue with having attention given to you o.o/ I be curious :3 If you can dance please try and keep up now~

General consensus is you need to go and drown your keyboard in a bucket of sulphuric acid.

On the class thing though; last time this came up there was an overwhelming amount in favor iirc of keeping jobs.
Jobs offer a few more abilities at the cost of 'specializing' your class and it makes plenty of sense.
*Specializing would be limiting cross class abilities you could use but then offer some pretty awesome abilities that were centric to the soul crystal equipped.

It allowed you to expand and customize your class on a whim; If you needed the more refined moves of WHM you equipped the soul crystal; if you didn't need the (1.0 examples here) regen, erase etc that whm gave you could stay as CON and use more varied cross-class abilities.

Like I said in the other thread; If you are so against nearly every freaking mechanic the game has, why are you still here?

seriously, try explaining the job/class system to a friend or new player... and explain why it's needed.

would it not just be better if there was just 'jobs', you started as a Dragoon from the get go? the whole class & job thing is bizarre

I'm not against every game mechanic, I'm looking forward to ARR. why are you attacking me? Kind of rude/low class. I asked a legitimate question.

Yoshi-P has changed a lot so I thought maybe he would toss out the job system.
