Still thinking about Linkshell Ships?

I know the world map is as old as 1.0, but since this is still the same world map used for ARR my question is still valid!

I noticed off the shores of Limsa Lominsa they have multiple ships, each labeled in Eorzean (I'm not good at reading this...) and they each have a logo next to them that closely resemble Linkshell icons.

Any thoughts? Think we'll still see this some day?

A very generous reading... I wouldn't confidently ID any of that small lettering, it's more like random scribbles. And I certainly don't lack for Eorzean literacy either. Also as you said the resolution just isn't there for it.

Anyways, I wouldn't read into the image too much. As far as I'm concerned, it's just ships drawn to add flavor to the map emphasizing a seafaring culture. Crests/flags can be used for many reasons not just linkshells, maybe it's the crest of one of Limsa's shipping companies or pirate bands. If and when ships/airships for players are introduced into the game (and I do believe Yoshi-P has stated FC airships are in the plans), I wouldn't give this map credit for "predicting" it, it would just be the human tendency to draw links where none exist.

Hell, I'd rather spend the extra time on an awesome ship then just teleporting everywhere. I know we all wont feel this way, but I enjoy these games for the journey

Since wasn't it said they'd have their own HQ in a way? At launch, as a matter of fact before housing gets added. I think it'd be cool to have your LS/FC flag/logo plastered on there And members could contribute parts if they add a DoH like Engineer. Personally, I'd love to see Engineer added.
