Blood Moon Phase

So i was thinking to pay homage to Dalamud and to add to the eerieness of some nights SE could have a rarer moon phase where the Moon turns red. Or have it turn red during halloween or something like that. Thoughts?

We Have something like that in Terraria (I love the game! Don't judge me!). It occurs every so often which usually involves increased and tougher enemies. I have to barricade my doors to keep zombies from bursting through and overwhelming me and my npc's lol. I think it would be nice to see something like it. But rather than increased numbers/strength, we should get some unique "blood moon" phase monsters to go with it.

I agree! Seeing the pictures uploaded to the blog showing the night sky really made me realize how accustomed to Dalamud I got. I'm going to miss seeing it in the sky.

Fun Fact:
On Earth, the moon will turn blood red during a total lunar eclipse. When the Earth passes exactly between the sun and the moon, only the red light frequencies are sufficiently refracted by the earth's atmosphere to land on the moon and then reflect to our eyes.

Since Hydaelyn is also an earth-like planet, the same could be possible there.

In many cultures, the blood moon is considered an ill omen.
