    Chat Filter

Lately I have been working on my chat boxes to customize them nicely to my personal settings but there are still a few things that are missing that would be really nice to be able to filter separately. It is possible to filter everything but the categories for information about players eating foods and players ranking and leveling up are poorly placed.

When a player eats or drinks something, there is a message and the filter for it is currently under "System Messages". I did some testing and it took a while to figure out where it was. The kind of information that also get filtered under "System Messages" are things like equipping a piece of gear, synthesis information and selling an item to a NPC. The useful stuff a player might not want to filter under a general category chat box. I don't feel that "Random Player near by drinks a bottle of apple juice." as a system message and is more like spam that I cannot afford to filter.

Depending on the size of the chat box which a player adjusts the tiny default one to, the information of nearby players leveling and ranking up can really spam the chat box. I made mine 12 lines tall and 1 synthesis sentence wide for my preference. It's great to see that players are ranking and leveling up everywhere but I personally don't want to have to see it written out completely.

    Random Player attains level 15.
Random Player is awarded 8 attribute and 8 elemental points.
Random Player conjurer is now rank 12.
    Random Player learns Shock.
    Random Player learns Burn.
    Random Player learns Frost.
    Random Player learns Choke.
    Random Player learns Rasp.
    Random Player learns Drown.

An extreme example but that's 9 lines of dialogue for just being near another player. A full party of these conjurers could really spam a chat box, ranking up at the same time. (RMT) Well stuff like this is filtered under the "Skills earned/actions learned by self" category. Meaning if I choose to filter this, I would no longer see information like how much skill and experience points I earned for a synthesis or for killing a monster. It would be really useful to filter this stuff separately.

As for chat colors, I noticed that Punishing Barbs damage and Shock Spikes damage are still colored red in the chat dialogue which is the color for damage taken by you. The color for damage taken by enemies is more yellow/orange in color.

Since the option to color the different chat actions personally is not added, it would be nice if the colors for some actions to be different from everything else. (Evading Attacks, Parrying Attacks, Blocking Attacks) There are a few skills that can only be used afterward and spotting chances to use them can be straining on the eyes in a sea of green chat text. Guard dropping information might be better to see in another color besides green as well.

I miss ffxi's way of tabbing between filters with the + sign.
