I didn't have the cash to pay Best Buy to do it. lol Anyway, I did promise I'd show you guys my benchmark score after I installed the stuff, so here it is. Note, the first time I did the benchmark, I scored poorly running it on medium. Now, running it on high setting, check this out:

Not the prettiest score around, mind, but then again my computer is inferior as a gaming machine. lol Still, this new score makes me SO HAPPY! And I noticed a few new things as well thanks to the new card! Firstly, there are more trees in the Twelveswood than I thought there were! Almost like it's some kind of forest, or something! And the animation is different, as in "they no longer slightly pause after each step" different. Oh, and did they just add the effect of giving off bright light to White Mages' spells, or did my card just suck that badly? Well, whichever, I'm a happy camper now. Thanks again for the help, guys!
Nice to see it worked out and you didn't blow up the components in the process :P

Here's a little piece of advice. When you set maximum, reactivate the performance options (Occlusion Culling, LOD and LOD Streaming) that the maximum setting deactivates by default (for some silly reason).

Their impact on the visuals is non-existent (as they are engineered to optimize areas that you can't see or are too far to be seen clearly), but they will help your performance sensibly.

It's simply a framerate waste not to use them.

Also, I would advise dropping shadows manually to 1024. The visual difference is minimal, butthe performance impact is large.

Congrats Skye, always fun to get new toys and see how they compare to old.

I got myself a new video card and put my old 680 GTX in my extra computer, unfortunately I found that it was now CPU and RAM bound,

Oh well, excuse to get new toys.

I would very much be interested in having a look at some specs too. Australian tax time is June/July so I'm looking into building for the first time. I'm currently on a laptop and I run everything heaps low...
Anyone have any advice I should be aware of?
    I'm looking at getting a rampage iv formula, intel i7 3820, 2x8gb ram and 2x GTX 650

P.s: please be gentle, it's my first time

If you're using a 680 or maybe any of the 600 series nvidia cards try the 306.23 drivers. they took my score from 8400+ while using new drivers to 9280+ while using older 306.23.

What do you plan on using the PC for? gaming, video editing etc. Also whats your budget?

Your current parts are unbalanced, for example the mobo is overkill unless your gonna do serious overclocking; the CPU uses an old chipset and is also locked, so kind of a waste on that motherboard. Then the GPU is really low end compared to the other parts. A common mistake people make is they thing going really high end is future proofing but that's not the case; your better off with a more balanced setup in the long run. I'll be glad to help you balance out the system if you want.

It should only improve toward release as well, I would assume a beta will bring improvements to performance anyway

Benchmark score doesn't count for much, some of you will be shocked when you actually play the game.

And this can be seen as a breach of the NDA. Mind you, even if you personally experienced any discrepancy, you have absolutely no element to say that.
