Thanks, guys. (New Benchmark score)

Well, I've done it. Blood, sweat, and tear were shed, and I am now officially completely bereft of my income tax refund. But I've done it. A new power supply, a new graphics card, and they're both installed. Good thing I learned to do it myself, too. I didn't have the cash to pay Best Buy to do it. lol Anyway, I did promise I'd show you guys my benchmark score after I installed the stuff, so here it is. Note, the first time I did the benchmark, I scored poorly running it on medium. Now, running it on high setting, check this out:




Not the prettiest score around, mind, but then again my computer is inferior as a gaming machine. lol Still, this new score makes me SO HAPPY! And I noticed a few new things as well thanks to the new card! Firstly, there are more trees in the Twelveswood than I thought there were! Almost like it's some kind of forest, or something! And the animation is different, as in "they no longer slightly pause after each step" different. Oh, and did they just add the effect of giving off bright light to White Mages' spells, or did my card just suck that badly? Well, whichever, I'm a happy camper now. Thanks again for the help, guys!

I actually just recently built myself a new PC. And I couldn't be happier. I call my PC of awe The Professional. Because I can. And because I want too.

Great to hear you got a score you like. My laptop before this wouldn't run the game very well so glad I was able to build TP. It wasn't even hard for my first time building a new PC.

Your previous card, if i remember right was a HD5450 so most likely a lot of the effects and animations were turned off^^

You should try it out on Maximum Settings as well. There is so much more foliage in the video too. If you set it to Maximum and then take off "Improved Graphical Quality" I think that's what it's called you'll be ok.
