Graphics advice (follow up - semi resolved)

Hello! its me again!!!!! *cricket noises* >.> <.< I hate you guys.

Anyways I posted that topic about wondering which graphics card to get, I just got it today I ended up going with the 680. And while I am not complaining about the score I am getting on the benchmark I am kinda bummed to see my score being so low compared to other ppl getting 7k-8.5k with basically the exact same set up as me.

CPU: AMD phenom 1090T
RAM: 8 Gigs
GPU: GTX 680

And was just wondering if anyone could shed some light on this? maybe they just got much higher scores because they where overclocking it and i am not? if thats the case than I guess i am happy with my score i dont really like to over clock stuff. But is there anything else to tweak the graphics card other than overclocking it and getting the newest drivers for it? I went into device manager and it says i have the most up to date drivers.

Again if you can help much appreciated, if not its ok cause the score is great as of now when not running fraps i score a little over 6k with everything on maximum (everyones probably thinking why is this guy complaining right?) thx for your time in reading this.
