Everyone who can run the game in windowed mode already has the advantage this UI addition confers. It just takes a little longer.

Yes...he was duoing...but even still, 10 leves in 10 minutes should never happen. If fatigue wasn't in place, you could easily hit max level in FFXIV in a little under a week. I recently created a new FFXI character. 1-90 in 4 days and that included limit breaks. FFXi wasn't like this and I'm hoping that FFXIV gets away from this. It's too easy and it needs to stop lolit told you what mobs aggro'ed, how they aggro'ed and elemental weakness. kinda the point i was making.
off quote
ok here is the thing, he was duoing. NOT soloing. when you get groups leveling is easyer. cuz you kill faster. If he took 10 min to get level 10 from 1 solo. then ya thats kinda iffy but honestly. you can get max level 30 in dcuo in 3 days. so far no one is complaining about it in that game. And that is solo mind you. I complained about it and was told off. Yet here is different. If you guys want a truely "hard" game play solo 100% of the time killing mobs that are not easy pray, turn off names and effects since you want a realistic game. Only walk around never run. Never teleport using.
There you go there is a difficault game oh. And don't do levequests at all. Only kill monsters.
Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
I think he could do 1-10 in one behest honestly.Yes...he was duoing...but even still, 10 leves in 10 minutes should never happen. LOL at the die hard purist in this thread, this change is coming whether you like it or not its time to get used to it or leave.
Expect a lot more to come in the future as well

you can hit max lvl in dcuo in 3 days.
do ppl complain its to fast? nope. if you do you are told off, said why do you care for your leveling up (spelling is iffy) when its just arbitrary.
find funny its differebt on this game. did you get 1-90 in 4 days solo? How much did you play? if he got it solo different story. Also did you do fov pages? or just kill normal mobs? was you power leveled at all?
sorry all these factor in. I don't mind leveling being "prolonged" but it should be the choice of the player. Also ppl been rushing levels in ffxi since cop. nothing new to me actually.
honestly though you make games easy or hard.
want a hard game? take off names only walk, never run, never tekeport, never do a levequest, and only play solo, never ask for help, never look things up.
there you go one nice hard time consuming game for ya.![]()

I really like the new markers and the addition of levels, tbh. I'm tired of killing things just to see what kind of xp they'll yield. at least with this I can see the level range.
As for the purists... they should just make an option to turn it on or off. The people who want the game to be harder can turn it off, and for those of us who like it keep it on.
EVERYBODY WINS.

oh and dcuo was given pretty high ratings even from x-play. yet x-play didn't even cover ffxiv at all.
I don't really see the problem with the icon, it's small, doesn't cause much of a problem, lets you know what to approach and what to run away from. If you try to argue that it's unrealistic or something, wouldn't the fact that a monster has it's own name appearing above it be somewhat unrealistic? Sure you could play with names off, but then you'd be like "Oh hey wanna go kill that thing that <insert terrible description here>. This is a "Feature", not a eyesore.
Well what you're talking about doesn't have anything to do with the icon and the icon wouldn't make the game any easier. Anyway I think when they have more party based stuff, the leves should be solo only.Yes...he was duoing...but even still, 10 leves in 10 minutes should never happen. The current aggro indicator looks like a bad bake sale flyer.
