What about people like me that want the info but think the icon is still too gaudy?
Really wish they would've implemented it unobtrusively like WoW's.

Heya!
1. Opening the Internet Browser, going to Google/YellowGremlin and search for a monster's level.
2. See the monster's level near the monster.
Same Sh*t.
How would you guys implement that? I'm kind of curious. =D
lol I wonder out of all the people complaining about it. How many won't even toggle it off? When SE follows through with creating tactical battles watch how many people won't even bother turning it off because it will help with strategy. People just love to complain about the most trivial of things. These are same people that looked on wiki or sites similar in the past(if not still).
player1: OMG my since of adventure is gone!
p2: Can't you toggle it off now?
p1: Yea... but... because...You know what I mean!!!
p2: Umm sure If you say so...*facepalm*

It looks better, but I wish they replace the starburst with a circle like the non-aggressive icon. To me, the red starburst just looks tacky, regardless of size.
Was thinking that as well. The aggro icon would look much better if it was the same shape as the non-aggro icon. Also like how the icons are hidden behind the level numbers so the icons don't stand out as much.
Would still like some indication if a mob cons as too weak to aggro a player though, as the aggro icon can be misleading in that sense. Or just make all agressive mobs aggro, no matter what the level gap is between it and the player.

Giving some kind of bonus for using or not using a feature that only displays information is one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. You are not entitled to anything for toggling any option off.
This doesn't make anything inherently easier, it just displays information more readily. The actual fighting is still just as tough. It's not like fighting something that's 20 ranks higher than you is now going to magically be easier now that you know what level it is or that it's aggressive.
Having the aggro icon present actually allows people to make strategic decisions about pulling and progressing through an area much more quickly. You can make a conscious effort to pull aggressive monsters first. Otherwise you'd have to pull up a browser and go to a community site to look it up and that doesn't make it any easier either.

Nice idea, however the typical "SE is spoon feeding us" arguement will never die it seems.

I like itit's so much better now. But seeing the level may bother some people.
I'd like a Scan/Libra skill, that could be used to show the levelLike, first it would appear as ?? and then with the scan, the level would show up. And of course, this examination would not engage in battle

Horrible. While exploring areas, we're no longer avoiding monsters that look dangerous. We're avoiding red splat icons. Completely ruins the atmosphere and any sense of adventure.
An Aggressive Monster Indicator should only be displayed on Targeted Enemies.
