This is what I suspect...or there was a booboo made at the early stages before the lore was completely fleshed out. Even if it was a boo boo, would be kinda neat to have a canon hybrid kitty!

I like this line of thinking and to add to it...
As she's part of the 'main story crew' it is plausible she's kinda like 'Prishe' from FFXI and a cross-bred of some sort. ...or she was named wrong...or she looks wrong...or other
She could be...
Half Moon/ Half Sun
or
Half Sun/ Half Midlander Hyur
BUUUUUUUTTTT.... probably not as Ferny used her as the 'Seeker of the Sun' name example...so...she's considered by the lore team as a 'Seeker of the Sun.'...or at least her name is.
Female Seeker of the Sun
A female first name will always begin with the letter representing her tribe, followed by an apostrophe, and then her given name. Her last name is the first name of the tribe’s breeding male who sired her.
R'Sushmo Rhiki
Sushmo of the Raptors, sired by R’rhiki Nunh (breeding male of the Raptors)
The apostrophe pronunciation rule applies here, as well.
The first name Y’shtola would be pronounced “yash-TOE-lah” not “ya. shtoe-lah”
- N’bolata Raha
- A’zumyn Bhen
- H’amneko Odh
- J’nangho Tyaka
In colloquial speech amongst close friends and companions, sometimes the tribe letter will be dropped from the first name.
F’lhammin -> Lhammin

I'm positive this is an error or neglectful over look, but F'lhammin looks 100% moonqote, rounded pupils, fangs, and grayish pale skin complexion and the long tail.

Yes, I'm not sure how people on the wikis assessed she was a sun keeper, as all the characteristics scream moon keeper. I followed every line closely in the Ul'dah story, and nowhere was it mentioned she was a sun or moon cat, BUT, from her characteristics, we can conclude she is moon.
So what is confusing is indeed her name, and the fact Nielle drops her tribe name when addressing her (he calls her Lhaminn)

What can I say other than "nice catch".
Fan-made wiki assumptions on her clan may have in fact been based off her name. (The skin colour difference is inconclusive, as both clans share the pale pink complexions, so that would not have helped.) We already knew that naming conventions were different between the tribes, so someone should have picked up on this by now. Of course now that we have concrete naming lore, it sticks out like a sore thumb.

Ya I wasn't going by the wikis, but wanted to illustrate for that guy how even the wiki contradicts itself lol

To be perfectly honest, both the Final Fantasy wiki and Eorzeapedia have very limited coverage of XIV due to the failure of the initial launch and the imminence of 2.0. A lot of editors lost interest when the game failed, and those who regained interest after 2.0's announcement decided to avoid using 1.0 as a source of information as it could easily be changed. Before I got to it, only Limsa Lominsa had anything close to a complete page on the FF wiki, so I decided to take pictures to bring all the other city-states and regions up to that standard, only to realize that even the Limsa page had gaps in the info.
For those wishing to help contribute, when it comes to the MMOs the FF wiki is primarily there for lore and general gameplay information, including ability lists and boss strategies, and reserves specifics like quest guides and individual gear stats for a dedicated wiki (much like ffxiclopedia.org for FFXI).
I've made a quick edit on the FF wiki regarding the discrepancy. Let's hope when 2.0 comes up we can fill the page out more accurately.

Maybe she was an orphaned Keeper of the Moon that was adopted by a Seeker of the Sun?

Maybe she born a Moonie, kidnapped at birth and trained as a spy by the Ascians who, due to their limited knowledge of Miqo'te naming conventions, gave her a Sunnie name!
(can you conject any more wildly than that, eh?)
Without a doubt F'lhaminn character model is a Keeper...
So imho, this really opens the door to her history. I don't want to assume SE just "made a mistake" on one of the main characters, sooo what's with her name then? Was she orphaned? If she was who named her, who adopted her?
Is she a mixed breed of the two clans? Maybe we'll get answers in 2.0 ^_^
