    Passing down family names

The lore information on naming conventions is awesome! But now, I have a question about the last name and what it represents. Is it the family name (i.e., father's or mother's surname)? Or something else?

For example, I'm thinking of a female Dunesfolk Lalafell named "Yayamo Yamo". The standard phoneme pattern for a female Dunesfolk Lalafell is AAB - AB, so her name works. But if she had a sister, I would assume her surname would also be Yamo. Given the phoneme pattern, wouldn't Yayamo's sister be stuck with the same name, "Yayamo"?

(And yes, I know I'm thinking about this too much...)

It doesn't seem like passing on family names is part of the tradition/convention. That's not to say it couldn't happen, though.

Since there was nothing different noted for Dunesfolk, I assumed the quote
Surnames are only surnames in placement, as they are not taken from the mother or father and are unique to the individual.
could be applied to both clans.

Remember that embarrassing time I missed that one important line in the Lalafell naming conventions post? Hahaha... Thanks for directing me to the info!
