    Eorzean Immigration

So I've been pouring through these naming conventions and something made me want to "hold the phone" for want of a better term.

Both the Wildwood and Duskwight Elezen are proud clans from a proud race. The forenames and surnames used by them have changed little since the time when they first crossed into Eorzea from the north.
And here we were thinking that the Elezen were the original inhabitants of Eorzea. This throws open some interesting questions.

Are the Elezen originally Garlean in origin?

Did the "beast" tribes exist in Eorzea before the five races?

I smell some really bad blood if the answers to both are yes.

It's possible the Elezen were nomadic, like the ancient Elvaan. Eorzea is a land full of Aether, so it's possible all races are drawn there, the Elezen being the first.

Addendum: I guess my point is that they vacated the land to the north, allowing Garlemald to take over. It's also speculated that Nael Van Darnus was (yes, was. he's dead.) an Elezen because of his height and mannerisms. Perhaps he's the descendant of any Elezen that remained when Garlemald took over.

I suppose it's also possible those same remnants STARTED the Garlean Empire, but I think the imperial family is Hyuran.

Now that I think more about it, the Allagan Empire probably spanned multiple continents given it was discussed in Eorzean history and Nael's family in Garlemald guarded its secrets. When the possibly Elezen-based (Nael's elezen family supposedly has links to Allag nobility) Allagan Empire fell apart, its Eorzean remnants could have formed the foundations of Ishgard and Gridania (or maybe even Gelmorra if they came after Allag?).

I may have just gone some ways to answering my own question.
