I know I'm probably a little bit late for this thanks to global time differences, but today is 3/11, the 2 year anniversary since the horrifying earthquake, tsunami, and subsequent disasters that struck Japan and affected so many.

I hope that I'm not alone when I say this, but, here in NA, we're feeling for ya. We hope for the best and send our condolences.

It's a big world, but at least with the internet, our thoughts and feelings may connect on some level. I hope that, in writing this on these forums, my words bring some comfort to those who are still feeling the effects of it.

From Kansas in North America, I wish you guys a brighter future.

Japan really showed the world how it can come together to help their neighbors through terrible a situation following the horrible tragedy. My heart is with them, for what it's worth.

Wouldn't really call it a anniversary cause it means, "the yearly recurrence of the date of a past event" and "returning or recurring each year; annual.".

I don't really want to wish for that to happen every year. I'd be happy if it never happened again.

Dang, and I missed it?! I really wanted to do something to pitch in.

Here in Minnesota the worst we see are some fading tornadoes and blizzards. Seeing what's happened to Japan and even the American coasts, and knowing that I've never had to experience such disaster, has humbled me. I feel like I haven't put forth my fair share of support.

But yeah we definitely don't have to deal with much extreme weather here. No earthquakes, no hurricanes, barely any tornadoes, winters are more just cold than actually snowy compared to the other side of the Great Lakes. I am humbled by what the Japanese must endure being right on the Pacific Ring of Fire and their ability to take it all in stride and rebuild.
