    [dev1030] dynamic emeny spawning

Here are some ideas I think could help enemy spawns:

    1. Different spawns during the day and night. Some mobs could be active only during the day, only during the night, or during both. Example: bats and fungii are night mobs only. Maybe levels and powers/tactics could change as well.

    2. Different spawns/powers during different weather conditions. In girdania it rains a bit... so there should be some mobs that only come out during the rain and others that go into hiding when it rains. Likewise maybe gas/spore attacks aren't used as much by mobs in those conditions, but water ones are used more often.

    3. Spawn seasons. I suggest letting spawns have different seasons and how often they are seen and how strong they are depends on which season in the game it is. If it's marmot mating season, you should see a ton of marmots out and about. However if it's the warm/dry season, no fungii should be seen.

I wish I would like this thread more then once, because I like it that much lol I think this is a great idea and shows the world to be changing and evolving like the real world. You don't see bears in the winter. I would also like there to be season is the world as well. The game can't always be summer, I think we should see winter, fall, and spring as well. I just don't know how feasible that would be and how hard it would be to implement as well as cost. But I LOVE the idea. Here's to hoping.

FF11 had a lot of this and it was really cool. Bombs would pop during fog weather, elemental mobs popped during their respective weathers. Nocturnal mobs would sleep during the day time or pop only at night (Doomed, Bat, Undead) and others would sleep during the evening times of the game (Karakul, Crawlers). Even had a fungus NM that could only pop under the the most favorable weather conditions of certain months in the game. (Noble Mold) Love to see some of this in 14 cause it would be simply interesting and unique features to the game. Don't know how well the second feature you described would pan out but the other 2 seems doable. The seasonal regular monsters could be done with more mobs with interchangeable spawn types.

    A thread I started here:

I think we badly need more aggresive mobs all around and more undead at night. The world right now is far too peacefull, makes traveling very boring.

Well the undead do pop up at night but since everyone is in Ul'dah, nobody really witnesses it. Go to Limsa around Camp Bloodshore to all the little caves underground. At night, Magicked bones and Bats spawn.

But overall I do wish we could see more of an abundance of this! Good idea.

This is very much along the lines of yet another FFXI system to implement. Surprised nobody has came in here yet to blow the horn on how this isn't FFXI. Great idea, though. The thing about the undead though is that during XI they were more of an obstacle to avoid so you can go places, xp at camps. etc. I'd really like to see the undead come back as a deterance. As with all your other great theories, I'd say when can we see this? I don't think the seasonal one is a big hit since the MMO revolves around a game day rather than a season. But as far as weather and all that? Hell yes. Again, good job.
