    Not unexpected, really. (Congrats!)

    Update: A quick summary from watching the live stream:
    They showed a history/timeline of Final Fantasy, the new FFXI expansion, FF14 info (see below), a quick announce of the FFX HD remaster, and at the end, a trivia contest.

    As far as FF14, it got the most time I think. It started with a video message from Yoshi-P, then a brief end-of-v1 story update, and the basics about the 3 storylines that Yoshi-P has mentioned in interviews. Also had concept art of city-states, custom gear, warriors of light, cait sith, etc.

    ... so what was the exclusive convention content, if you don't mind my asking? (After the news about the HD remaster of FFX/X2 and before the trivia contest.)

    The stream wasn't really great quality, but maybe it'll be available later at the SE Ustream link.

    An argument of semantics, I assure you. Saying "that didn't really show anything new" was more to indicate there was some new stuff, but for the most part nothing major (new features or revealed story elements). Though to be fair; yes, the new chocobo armor is pretty awesome.

    My impression was that the content of the panel was more for the people in the room who may not be as up-to-speed on current developments as we tend to be.
