Live Letter V

It's been about a week since the fifth live letter aired and I remember there being less time between the airing and the release of either a FULL transcript or a subtitled version of the video itself of the last letter. Yes beta testing is going on etc etc....but can we at least get some idea of when an official subtitle will go out.....or a full transcript at least? I've been waiting to be able to hear all the juicy bits of info that went out with LL5. The independent translators on Youtube havn't even made a "Fansub" yet :'(.

It takes awhile to professionally translate and sub a video that's almost 2hrs long. Lots of Stop>Rewind>Play...wait what did Yoshida say? Oh go back and play it again.

I don't know what method SE uses for the actual translation process for the videos, but from my experience, I tend to transcribe the conversations into the native language first..then translate that text and carry it over into subs. Then timing the subs to cue back with the audio...lot of work lol

Well, it just so happens that Japanese isn't one of the languages I translate to/from (yet). Just English, Spanish and French here for now. u_u

I can sub, I can't translate from JP to EN I do French and Spanish to English and vice versa though (not that it helps much on this forum)

@OP Idk the average time for translations for most letters but I remember one of them taking almost a month.

Yep, I did my fair share back at my old job, and audio (especially live broadcasts like these) just up the difficulty haha. It's not that I can't translate, it's just that there's so much information that flies by so fast and you're having to think in both languages you get thrown into overdrive until its just a mess of..lolwut xD

I know it's been awhile since the Live Letter broadcast, but with dealing with Beta (and probably having to translate a lot of feedback or other things going on we don't know about), this is probably getting delayed just a tad. I would imagine it won't be too much longer before the video comes out though.
