Can my level 50 start in a new server?

Ahh that makes sense. Thank you for clearing that up. That's what I had originally thought it was, but people kind of made me think that had changed in this thread.

If you want to start over that fine you can play on a new world. But us old players see the storyline different NPC would say different things to us that by itself is one of the good reason not to start over if you care about storyline if not then go for it.
