Fat chance. There will always be that one person who screws it up, and that one person is going to complain VERY LOUDLY with a new thread.

This is pretty good newsI was worried it'd be like the poop-storm that went down at the last transfer

Act in such a way that you treat humanity, whether in your own person or in the person of another, always at the same time as an end and never simply as a means

Thank you for the update.Sorry, no this isn't correct. If you do absolutely nothing, you won't be placed in a random world. Everyone that was on that world, who also did not transfer, will be moved to the same place together.
However, just to reiterate, don't worry - we will announce the full details when they are all finalized. I know you're all anxious and we're keenly aware of it being a very important point for everyone!
I do hope the team remembers the situation with the v1.0 server merge, where most of the servers were already full from the very start of the application process.
Many people had planned to move together, but couldn't get into the world they had agreed upon. It was not until much later in the application process when some worlds started to open up and things settled down... but the initial situation caused a lot of stress for the player base.
I trust that will not happen again. ^^

Yeeeeeeeees. Music to my ears :3
Another question I got is, will the old 1.0 servers be called the same or renamed etc with the launch of ARR?
I am ready to meet my friends and sweetheart on Balmung at least :3
Thank you for the information! but I still have a little question.
Getting into the beta phase 3 means having a currently active FFXIV service account or everyone who had it can go, can you give a further information about this tiny thing please?

I wouldn't put my hopes on it. From even just from the release of 1.0 to the end they've changed names and condensed servers. More than likely it's going to change, but that's an assumption based on things that they've done in the past. Take it for what you will.
Regarding the discution about servers keeping their names, SE can change the names however they want.
Even if the servers keep their orginal names, don't forget they are going to be split up in all regions so your 1.0 server which was international might become a JP server or something.

Praise Llymlaen, that's all I wanted to know. Thank you!Sorry, no this isn't correct. If you do absolutely nothing, you won't be placed in a random world. Everyone that was on that world, who also did not transfer, will be moved to the same place together.
