    All these interveiws, but one question un answered

    unless i missed something, nobody has asked about the client/server delay for NA players (im sure theres others but only people ive seen mentioning this is NA)

    i cant be the only one who is DYING to know if this will be fixed in 2.0, if not made less noticeable

    (also, being able to ACTUALLY see someone running around you would be nice)

    for the flamewar topic starters, im not complaining like "oh my god i cant kill ifrit due to bad server lag WTF SE" im just stating that there IS some delay and if there was any official response about it

    if you have heard about them maybe fixing this or something of that nature, leave a link or quote and so on with the info

    probably true but unless theres no lag to begin with we will never know wether not they died cause of it

    when i was still getting used to the server/client latency ive died every now and then to ifrit because i diddnt know that i would have to run like a second before the cracks appeared on my screen to dodge them, whereas now that i understand it that hasant happened in ages

    Agreed times a million, Ryligh. (><) Being able to see your fellow party member's actions near instantaneously instead of delayed would make things so much better.

    That actually been responded several times, we getting new server and new network so we don't have any lag. If you see gamescom videos, they have any lag at all, and they're playing with a private server located in japan.

    Btw for sake of information, what we have now isn't something related to lag alone, but a bad routing, which result in packet loss for western players

    oh im sure its more than just lag, but i think its easier to say lag than "lag-packetloss-routing failure-computer things killed me wtf guys"

    as for the info, guess ill have to check out the interviews and such again

    And just for the record it's like 2-3x worst for eu players who mostly get routed through the us to get to Japan, meaning we have that much extra latency and packet loss

I suppose that you've noticed that the Garuda Battle has not really been taken on by European players because of latency. French players think that the Ifrit Extreme is impossible to complete due to latency issue, and they are afraid not to be able to do the relic quest before 2.0 hits.

    Yoshida : We have completed the tests and research, and we did find out that the whole issue is based on the access route: there's some packet loss, and this is the cause for the lag European players face. We are going to make sure not only French players, but all European players can have a great experience for the 2.0 version so please wait for an announcement we will be making in the future, we can't address it at the moment but we're definitely taking steps to make sure this will be solved, please be reassured.

    What a load of shit, I know plenty of EU players who have their relics/garuda weapons. Latency is an issue, sure. But don't blame your not killing something on latency. Most of the current fights have been made to work with the current lag issues, to some extent.

    On topic, I'm sure Yoshida has addressed packet losses numerous times. It's their awful server structure.

    iirc, my connection here in Australia routes through Europe, then America and on to Japan.
