How I view my character actually reallly just depends on the current situation the character is in:

If socializing with other players (Except those that may be RPing) I would tend to go B, since I interect with others much the same way I do IRL (Minus gut-punching and eye-pocking and midget punting... okay maybe gut-punching and replace eye-poking with forehead-flicking).

While viewing cutscenes I tend to imagine my character as C. But usually I associate my character as the typical silent-hero archetype that's around so many games, I still grow attached to it (especially after the last grand company quest in 1.0, I clapped as well for my char :P).

And while in combat that's not story driven and is more for aesthetic purposes (Dungeon runs, Levequests, etc.) I go D... where my character is imagined as an ACTION FIGURE WITH COOL SPECIAL EFFECTS THAT LIGHT UP (Batteries not included).

    I think I'm somewhere between B and C.

I consider myself "RP-Lite". I tend to inject some of my own personality into my character - usually goofy, joking around, making bad jokes, etc. I think I originally chose Mithra in XI because their "mischievous" nature (per the description) matched my personality best.

I carried that over into XIV and on to my Miqo'te, though I haven't explored it as thoroughly.... yet.

So I guess you could say I kinda inject myself into the world through my character.

Sanadaiyeve was a random woman in a painting I never finished and her name was thought up randomly from syllables I like.

As I began exploring with her she developed into her own person.

Little kitten Sana off on an adventure with her father's axe slaying dragons. It seemed too big for her and whenever I'd face her she was always frowning at me. I wondered what I did to make her so moody. And then I watch her adventure and people rely on her and others thank her and respect her. And through numerous cut-scenes she has lost her frown and begun to smile bright as her moon.

I love her now and I want Sana to smile and laugh and be the blood thirsty axe murdering kitten I've grown to love. And miss... oh I miss her. Rock on Sana!

So as far as her being her own person, I'm just a spirit or something watching her life and ..maybe using the echo to see into hers and talk to everyone to manipulate events around her ( so i can see her personality develop in cut-scenes and stuff). But she's on her own mission.

Thanks for letting me be a freaky stalker god in your life Sana <3. (I'm her freaky godesshyur-stalker-guardian-person) Seeing what she see through pixel eyes.
