    800 watts should be more than enough.

    If u want to know how much watts u do need exactly, do the math.
    Look what every single piece of hardware is using (at full load!) and add up, thats what your power supply should deliver atleast.

    About the GPU, i for myself just did order a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 Vapor-X OC.
    My current Sapphire card did perform very well for the last 2 years (and still does) so i stay with them for now and that one should have enough power for FFXIV.

    P.S: About PCI-e 3.0 all i can say is that your card is backwards compatible so u dont get any problems because of this and that u still see a much better performance than with your old GPU. But how much the difference between 2.0 and 3.0 is, idk
