Group Emotes, can I have them?

I want some sort of 80s Cop drama group /pose with explosions and lasers and such. And sunglasses, just 'cause.

Simple as that, who doesn't want to start a /pose with your friends or even play "Patty Cake"?

Allow me to explain how it would work: Basiclly you will select a target and select the emote you want to perform on that person, the person will receive a pop message that says that his/her friend (Or weirdo who is around) wants to perform a group emote.
"But Galu, what about emotes with more people?" Simple my good friend/enemy/troll... We use the party as a big selecting system, so everyone in the party could do different emotes depending on the number of members you have in your party.

BTW: If you think that people will spam it and bother you they simply need to add an option to decline every petition.

This idea is pretty awesome, not gonna lie...

Types of group or 1 on 1 emotes:

- /hug

- /high five

- /slap (LOL OK, this one is a little silly, yet too funny to pass up!)

- /partnerdance or padance (Holds your hand out for a few seconds for your partner to comply with also typing /padance and then begins)

- /kiss (For couples playing this game, it would be great. Especially for screenshots or events or something)

- /motorboat (Oh yes, this one sounds exactly like the one you're thinking of! And yes, it's true. And yes, it's awesome!) This one is just wishful thinking that me and my LS joke around about with Lalafells and female Roegadyn... If ya know what I mean?

These are just a few ideas to give some thought for future consideration, minus the last one as a joke of course, for obvious reasons. LOL

Been a while since I played, but I'm sure there's an ability in LotRO for Minstrel that makes everyone within 20ft dance for five seconds. It was always fun to use in big crowds.

Also, Lalafell punts DO NOT WANT.

I was thinking about some ideas, but you guys are giving some good ones. So I will go a little further and I will say this: What about emotes that you can only perfom with your chocobo/mount and/or minions (The ones we saw during the last Live Letter)? Like dancing with your mammet or playing "Peekaboo" with your little chocobo.

I love this idea, however I think it should be restricted to party only. Reason being is it would instantly be a huge griefing tactic if you could just do it anybody walking by. This way the emote request would be built into parties and it is already known that this is a willing participant because he is in your party. It saves a step.

To get around the request to participate in a group emote is, that they could make the emotes work like this.
1. Player initiates group emote and the animation. Like /hi5 would stop and wait for 2-3 seconds for somebody to target you and initiate reciprocating the emote.
2. Other player preforms same emote within the 2-3 second time period.
3. both characters line up, sync and complete the emote together.
4. If no other character reciprocates the emote within the 2-3 second time period. The first character finishes with an alternate group emote fail. So you see the character swish his hand with nothing in the air and look sad

Other group emotes I'd like to see: (because I have thought about this myself!)
/hug
/holdhands
/brofist
/groupdance1,2,3
/challenge (this would happen when initiating a duel for PvP. both characters line up scowl and brandish weapon)

The only known example I know of of group emotes is, Entertainer in Star Wars Galaxies. (R.I.P)
In that game you could form a party of entertainers and they would play intruments or dance.
One player would initiate 1 of 5 different songs and play the music track for that instrument. Other players would join in playing the song and play their respective instruments track. There was drums, clarinet, guitar instruments.
Dancers had their own set of dances. You could do /bandflourish as party leader and everybody would play an emote of spinning and the music would play a small interlude variation of the song. it was quite fun.

In game you would listen to entertainers for XP buffs, and extra damage. Depended on song. It was a lot like bard in FF,but you could not use entertainer in combat. Only MMO I know that had non-combat classes that was not crafting oriented.

How about an option to set a macro up as your 'victory emote' so that when a boss battle has been completed, the entire party simultaneously activates their macro. Could incorporate item usage then too, and the camera could do a flypast of the group, like in offline JRPGs...

Would be nice to have something else besides the /joy after you clear a dungeon or beat a primal. More like a "Victory Pose" and it would be awesome if we could select our own pose from a list.
