Although not fake I admittedly did rage quit ffxi many years ago

Friend: yup to 80 and soon to be 99
Me: 99!!! they'll kill the game... Nooooooooooooooo!!! /ragequit

Have never logged on since. despite people thinking i was joking and would be back when the servers went up)

amazingly if they'd only announced it was being increased to 80 i would probably have stuck around for longer but they said it would be 99 even though it was going to be in stages. 24 levels just seemd like a great big fk you and your hard work over the last years. and i just didnt see any content surviving or enough new content to stick around for.

Beyond the fact that the Combat system is Generic, Questing is a tunnel visioned mess that is bland and boring, F.A.T.E is just something they added to take away from how boring the rest of the questing system was and it feels pointless, Graphics are hollow and look unattractive, Character animations are laughable, but beyond all that the game is just boring and all that matters to me is that I have fun. After I post this I will log out, delete all FFXIV related bookmarks, uninstall the benchmark and just forget this past year like a bad dream because if I sit here and defend a game I truly never had fun with any longer I might just lose my mind. I'd love to say it's been fun lol
