When We Get Our Characters Back...

What do you look forward to most? Redesigning your character with a hairdo, or even a new race/gender? Picking up where you left off in your leveling? Finding new ways to make money?

I don't by any means have everything in the game, but I spent some time near the end of 1.0 taking pictures of my character at all the guilds where I have 50s, as well as the jobs. I made this collage! (It might look better if you open the image in a new tab, as these forums resize everything.)



Having done so many different things, I don't know what exactly I'll start with when I finally get Yru back. Archer is pretty high on the list, but I might want to work on replacing the gil I wasted on an INT+20 materia.

Knowing 2.0 was coming I specifically held off on leveling Blacksmith and Botanist so I could experience leveling with the new crafting and gathering system. Should be fun.

Otherwise I'll probably be focusing on saving millions of gil for my own house.

That's exactly why I left ARC at lvl1. I had to level MRD for abilities and PGL for BLM, but I deliberately left ARC at lvl1. I also have CUL20 and FSH13 to play around with.

I'm a bit worried that I'll have to scrap all gear except my AF because stats are going to change or be recalculated, if I remember correctly. A lot of my time might be taken up regearing everything.

Jokes on you! We now will have ACN to level when it gets released! Anyways, I guess I'll be finishing off my DoL/DoH when I get my stuff back. I'm not worried about gear since I can pretty much make everything myself.

Right! I definitely would like to try ACN out, though I'm not sure if I'll take it to 50 right away.

I think with a new world should come a new hairdo. I'm almost sure I want to mess around with my mop. After that, I have never touched ARC in 1.0, so I may use that to experience the new content. Oh, and exploration. Gotta get attuned to all the new aetheryte locations. That will be my initial bucket list.

First things first I plan to level the new Arcanist class, and Summoner job. I love me them there pet jobs, yes I do!

After that I’ll finish Pugilist, the class that was ironically my first and favorite in version 1 but became unloved after some early patches. In order to get a decent party invite I had to put it on the shelf in favor of other classes. This has to get done because I’m assuming it will be the base class for the Puppetmaster job (if and when it should ever make an appearance). Puppermasters Rule!

I did a lot of craft leveling at the expense of not learning to fight the primals well or any work toward a relic weapon, so I also plan to forgo any other craft leveling and fight more.
