I see similar companies, but not that one. Check here http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...urer,2913.html

As before Seasonic is good. PC Power & Cooling USED to be good, since OCZ took them over they're not as great now. CWT for some is good, like the Corsair 1200W I use as one of my Dual PSU setup.

Oh, i dunno. I'm using them on all my current PCs, the modular version, and they're stable, quiet and have a silver 80+ specification. Sounds good for me for the price they're offered at.

Before OCZ bought them they used to be far better. They started dropping the old models that were actually good(I have one) and started using the name to sell cheaper units effectively.

Reading through it, it seems pretty our of date. My OCZ PSU is modular, has a 120mm fan and is probably multirail, too.

The OP themselves say that the Silencers from 2 years ago "aren't terrible. In fact, they're arguably better than the original Silencers". The TurboCool (aka 800w+) being overpriced is nothing new, barely anyone needs them, except for people with SLI/Crossfire. The rest is well served with a 650w PSU, and those were one of the cheaper ones compared to other products.

Yes, there are better options available, but not everyone can afford (nor need) the best of the best. OCZ is midrange according to your link, and that's good enough for me.
