^^Pretty much this.Not really. It's simply factual. Developing for a piece of kit that has the same architecture, or very similar, as a PC is factually easier and much less costly than developing for one that has a very different an unique architecture.

How it appears is Sony has done their homework as far as making a developer-friendly console. It looks like Sony went into this project determined not to make the same mistakes they made last generation.
