Countering Leeching

people leeching while in party that go AFK and no movement for some amount of time need to be disconnected.

one thing i hated about version 1 and pertty much the only way people did level in a XP party. ruined FFXIV & FFXI's party structure.

if they dont counter it might as well give out offline XP where you can hit level cap without even logging in, like age of conan.

The auto-disconnect option existed, however, people usually turn it off because it did get quite annoying having to AFK for 5-15 minutes and come back disconnected.

Also, i believe they already give out offline XP. Rested Bonus.

i dont mean that auto disconnect, other games like WoW have it like if your in a battle ground and go AFK you get booted out and you cant change that setting.

the rested XP is just a boost and limited, AOC in 40 days you get enough XP to allot to your characters to hit level 1-80 i dont wanna work then have leeches go do something else while im stuck play the game for them. if they dont counter it might as well do it since there not playing the game anyways when there logged in

If you're playing with people like that, it's best not to anymore. Don't associate yourself with people just because they're the only ones there.

I'm not sticking up for leechers. But we don't need special systems to combat them. If you find something unpleasant, you have the power to remove that unpleasantry from your game experience. Automated mechanical punishments suck. People might have a legitimate reason to be AFK for a certain amount of time. you can't just decide some arbitrary AFK time means a person is intentionally leeching. Or maybe someone is dualboxing and they already know how to play and they're just trying to level up their alternate quickly. Who are you to decide what's right or wrong here?

I really don't give a rats behind about an AFK person's friends. If they're not willing to stick with the party after kicking an idle person, then I don't want to play with them either. If they want to start drama, I just blacklist them. Problem solved.

I would kick someone, if someone else in your party is friends with the retard you kicked, if they get upset kick them too.
