Cait Sith

I was just going on the assumption that he would eventually be tied to Summoner in some way in the future since he has been a Summon in past games and is becoming one in XI eventually, I would think maybe in the new expansion, since they announced him over 2 years ago and recently released footage of him in action...

Since the one from XI looks exactly like the concept art from XIV I was drawing my own conclusions. Mainly all I was saying is that no matter what they use him for I hope he looks like the concept art and use the cartoonish looking one in the second pic as just a pet, not what we will see in the story or as a summon or whatever role he eventually has...

What I want is something more closely resembling the original Cait Sithe (Cat Sidhe) of original myths, a feline creature that is the king of cats and stole the souls of the dead.

Cait Sith was suppose to be part of XI's Wings of the Goddess expansion but summons always seem to be late in XI anyways. I bet he/she shows up in XIV before XI. :-)

I do hope that he/she is a summon though and not just a primal or npc.

Yeah the style was so different I couldn't place it off the bat (didn't watch too far into K-On at the time I was collecting art for homemade wallscrolls.)

I think the only assumptions you can make is that Cait Sith is apart of the story and a vanity pet as has been said. I wouldn't expect Cait Sith as a summon anytime soon unless SE has already started on it. Personally i want to see some more exciting summons than the cat.

I agree the 2nd image looks more cartoony. The hips, feet look different, or is that a puss in boots? lol(couldnt help myself)

edit: The ears are different also.

After watching SAO, every time I hear about Cait Sith I see this instead.
