you can always plug it in your pc to defrag it but its running unix im guessing and that dont need to be defraged.It was a 40GB HDD. One of the problems with the PS2 HDD is that there is no way to defragment it. Also, SE had reserved a 10GB partition of said HDD for FFXI use. In order to use more space for the partition, they had to get legal permission from Sony to expand it. Which, they did last year in order to be able to have more space for future content as the partition was already reaching the space limit. The PS2 won't be supported for future expansions outside Japan, where most of the current PS2 users reside.
