Minions! (They Like That Better Than Henchmonsters)

There's threads attacking the notion of our beloved vanity pets, which are nonetheless suffused with love and praise for the little scamps -- which is great! -- but none specifically for the promotion of said pets? (Now, hopefully that doesn't mean the negative vibes will magnetize to this thread instead.) What kind of Minions do you hope will be added? Which ones are your favorite so far? What sort of content should involve them?

Right now, I'm digging the Cursor Hand and the Model Airship. I hope there's a cactuar and tonberry. I could imagine whole series of Minions being added in the future. Think of it; any number of heroes or villains from other FF titles, a series of the various airships and other transports, perhaps some of the one-off summons could get some love. As for what to do with all of these, a Dragon Quest style Minion Arena would be pretty amazing, supposing the dev team doesn't mind giving stats and simple attack animations to all of them. Wouldn't that be much better than a card game?

Y'know, Qiqirin are aggressive now. And the Path of the Twelve are friends with beastmen.
I can kind of see a side-quest storyline, you're trying to help out this rebel group of Qiqirin- Oh god I could cry

"Please, take my baby! Yooo must help! Other Qiqirn no share fooood, for I have no jinglyshine! All I have, I give to baby! I'm doooomed! Please save baby!" *shoves the bundled Qiqirn baby into your arms before succumbing to starvation*

On the topic of rare pets being rewards from achievements or difficult content, I think it'd be funny, and awesome if some of these rare rewards would be 8-bit character models. (That are either difficult to see from some angles, due to being...flat, or that always rotate to face where you're looking at them from)

I love this idea! Maybe an 8-bit FF3 character that walks with you, then does the victory cheer as its idle! They could have one for each job!

Then again, the Minions already break lore enough. We don't need to bring stuff over from the flat worlds.
