actually, it is. there's a lot of revamps going on, but it's for sure an "evolution/update" of FFXIV

GW2 definitely has its own unique system. you can't look at any other games' area based questing and say that GW2 copied. other games have elements of GW2's, but not to the extent of FFXIV's FATE system.

and Abriael, it's still FFXIV. those are revamps. I'll be logging into the game in a few months with my same character, equipped with my same items, with the same equipment design, with the same class system, with many of the systems from FFXIV still in place. stop lying to yourself that this isn't FFXIV please. it's a massive update but it's still XIV.

the optimism around here is refreshing but a little bit overwhelming when even skepticism is looked down upon...I'm very much looking forward to XIV, but I am skeptical and I'm not going to trash one writer for not liking it.

GW2's system was inspired by Warhammer Online, exactly like FFXIV's. The only difference is that Yoshida is honest enough to admit it.

You basically said that Mass Effect 2 is just a "revamp" of Mass Effect 1, and Mass Effect 3 is just a revamp of Mass Effect 2.

The ability to play with the same character does not the same game make.

It doesn't even run on the same engine.

We're not looking down upon "skepticism". "skepticism" is fine. There are plenty "skeptical" articles over the internet.

We're looking down upon factually false reporting, incompetence, mockery, disprespect and flamebait, and even more so the inability to take criticism as well as one dishes it.
