Oh no, absolutely not. That article wasn't taken from the alpha, but from a the media tour Yoshida & co had in a few cities around the world. They had an embargo, but no NDA, and the embargo expired two days ago.
On that front everything's absolutely kosher.
I shall bring the torches and five muskets!
(also sarcasm)
Oh, ok. I wasn't absolutely sure when she officially wrote it. It definitely seems rushed and biased as all hell. lol

I personally would be almost ok with the bias: I find it rather appalling, but there are a ton of journalists nowadays that don't care to show their bias for or against this game and no one is ever 100% unbiased. I'm not, nor anyone else is, and whoever will tell you he has absolutely no bias knowingly lies. Even if in this case it goes a tad overboard, it may be unintentional.
What I consider unacceptable is the derogatory wording all over the place: "Pain in the ass", "half assed" and so forth, not to mention the mockery of the Final Fantasy XIV title. That's really borderline insulting towards the development team, and worthy of the worst forum flamebait. And no, that kind of wording can't be unintentional.
Besides, If there's really one team that has absolutely nothing to do with the idea of "half assed", that's the one led by Yoshida. The man and his minions have earned my full respect by holding nothing back in their work on this game.
