FFXIV:ARR is not a sequel because it's the same game updated. and honestly you are the one who seems really enraged here, so don't point that finger at me buddy. you are the one being really hostile and kind of (IMO) downright crazy

It's 5 years in the future, that's nowhere near the same game.

The game is not being "updated". I'm not sure if you're aware of the idea of building a game from the ground up starting from a completely new engine and code.

yeah well sorry but you are coming across as pretty fanboyish to me. I'm pretty sure FFXIV will still be taking place in the same areas, with the same characters and classes, same items, same data, and a lot of revamps, even if there's new coding, it's not a new game.

I have to wonder what creates a hostile & angry fanboy such as yourself... I have played every FF, and loved most of them, played FFXI for 5 years. preordered FFXIV, collectors edition... but from the sound of your attitude you would sacrifice your unborn child for Yoshi P. it's just a game.

I'm looking forward to FFXIV's ARR update but it doesn't look like it's doing much new compared to other MMORPGs. so I'm skeptical. the best part so far seems to be better optimization/frame rates for PCs..

You will log in, you'll still be Melfina Amastacia , Lancer level 50, you'll still have your +2 dragoon spear or whatever. you'll still have the same skills. same monsters, same areas (revamped). many of the same game systems still in place. lol.

to get back to my original point, I don't think you guys should get so angry that one person didn't like the game. it's clearly marked as an opinion article.

The only thing I have to say to any of this, is that... Even if it is an opinion. It's "Press Opinion" and that can hurt the integrity of the game as well as affect customer decisions whether to buy or not.

With that said... I don't think it's fair for them to bash a game solely based on a "Beta Version" 2hr trial. Just my 1 gil.
