My guess is that they most likely have everything set up the way they planned, but now they are trying to balance out how much damage you do per hit, weapon delay.. etc.

As long as they dont put it on a stupid timer like every other mathematical thing SE does.
Agreed, putting it on a timer would defeat the purpose of it being dynamic, however it should happen enough that people of any area and time zone can join in. In fact, I would think that there would be always two or three dynamic events going on in the world at the same time. Of course they would change once the event had been finished so you wouldn't always be running the same event. And to futher the level of play, each event would have several variations that would make the same event seem new and different each time. They would do this by changing up mob parties, and strategy. (like they did in campain in XI with different bands of monsters.)
Vert excited about the stuff square enix has planned. I'm sure we will hear more about this style of content once they finish redesigning the battle system.![]()

Here's my vote for dynamic content. Would've loved to see Garlean airships unloading platoons of soldiers and randomly trying to put camps under martial law, or beastmen parties trying to take over the hamlets.
Also, as for people worried about accessing the camps... they don't really have to remove your access to them.
Example: If you let the Garleans take over, guildleve rewards could be lower, NPC item prices could be higher, porting to the camp could have a higher cost, and a Garlean NPC could patrol the camp randomly knocking people down.
It's not like half of our enemies are out there kill us in sight. They could only be aggresive to those that tried to resist (those defending or taking the camp back).

Well, not everything would be available if the camp towns were took over, look at the guilds they are supposed to have. These can be taken away if they are not under the city's control.
Which begs the question, how would one take the cities back? Why would garlean forces let random adventurers into the town if adventurer are going to storm them? Bit of a security breach, there.
Nuru, that is the best sig on the forums. You win!
It's a great idea. They seem to possibly already have something similar to this set up already. If you notice on the maps there are what seems to be towns with "control" flags marked on them like the Aleport and Wineport in LL. I don't see that there would be a point in doing that if they weren't meant to be taken over in some manner. Perhaps it would be more like Conquest but I hope they have to be attacked to be taken over.
I haven't seen anything to suggest that 'Companies' have anything to do with 'Raids'
More "dynamic" content? There just needs to be plain more content, period.
