    If you're missing that "sense of adventure", you could you know, walk instead of use anima or when they're introduced, use chocobos and airships(and other transport) instead of anima. Nobody's pointing a gunblade to your head forcing you to use it.

    Don't penalize an entire segment of a player base just because you aren't cool with one thing.

    I'm not penalizing any side, so back off dude.
    I was saying to even things out, they should go back to the way anima was before since they are introducing airships and chocobos.

    I think a few things are possible:
    1. Anima stays the same, and costs the same as it does now
    2. Quests will be added to increase your total anima cap down the line (tough quests that is)
    3. As new zones are added, the cost to teleport to those zones will be higher, for example: You are in Limsa and to port to a non favorite camp costs 4 points. To port to another city costs 3 points, and to port to another camp outside your zone costs 6 points. Now, add in new zones that are "further" away and see an increase to port to the city, or zone. So new zone to port into would cost 8 points for a camp, and 4 points for a city. - However, within the zone it would go back to the same porting standards as current zones, and to port back to our current set of zones would cost 4 for the city and 8 for the camp.

    Now, I don't think this should be the case, completely, as I think it should be based off of distance, so take this for what it's worth as just a random idea, but I too am looking forward to the other ways of travel.

    I think Anima was intended to help players get to gathering locations, for like parties, or events, much faster without having to waste other players time. Since its the only form of transportation besides a ferry right now, I don't see why it they wouldn't raise the cost of anima when other means of transport become available.

    At this rate we will never get Chocobos or Airships so i wouln't worry about it.

    Chocobos and Airships will help out a lot of the hardcore gamers. The ones who has more play time available to them. The ones who are running out or out of anima. The ones who have to be careful when to even use it nowadays.

    Anima should stay in the game for both types of gamers though. The casual and the hardcore. It will help out the casual gamer tons and also pitch in a hand for the hardcore gamer as well. I think both ends of transportation is pretty well thought out. That is, once they add the chocobos and airships!

    It seems fair to me the person who logs in four times a week for a total of eight hours should be able to just teleport everywhere they want for there casual style. It works in my eyes. For the more hardcore gamers teleport will happen still, but just not as much.

    If something is already great don't fix it. I'm always up for tweaking though and making good things even better.

    Well yeah, that sounded like I was singling you out, so sorry about that.

    I was addressing the extremist crowd in general(again, not you) that thinks anima kills all sense of exploration and adventure, which I don't think it does. It's just a tool you can use every now and then.

    I would like to see an instanced travel of sorts that includes the phantom train. it was in another thread but I'm posting it here because I believe this to be relevant to the thread and of course I think it's more likely to get looked at ^^; have it underground or in a "soul realm" of sorts and have it be an instanced encounter but it still connects all the major capitals. you get on in Ul'dah and get off in Grid that type of thing.

    Also I have to agree that anima shouldn't really be touched. I didn't use it very often and I doubt I would use it at all if I were going to go level up with friends in some far off place, chocobo travel is the way to go. I do think the places you can travel to with anima should be limited. so that really you need to use alternate means of transportation to get to an area, but you can always anima teleport yourself to a main city.

    Ok, thinking on the idea that when Chocobos and airships are fully intergrated, I propose this.

    Why not have an anima system which allows a player 2 trips every 18 hours (every 24 hours may be a bit much, thinking use of last thing at night against when you first log in the next day). Think of it, as a famous hobbit once said "there and back again".

    Tbh i think much more than that and it takes half thee point of the game out. Of course, with no other form of transport at the present time, Anina will have to do. I am speaking of course when chocobos and airships are with us

    I say keep anima they way it is and add chocos and airships so you can choose your own play style.
