Fishing in ARR

1 more day left and even though with all the worries about dol and fishing I am truly excited to start playing again and cannot wait for official release of 2.0. Negativity even from myself lately doesn't help the situation and as a pretty decent hardcore fisherman in 11 and 14 I can say I will keep playing no matter what but I'd be lying if I wasn't worried about DoL and fishing and hope for the best.

Give the game an honest chance and I think we are all going to be pleasantly surprised and overwhelmed with a wonderful experience. To do otherwise is a disservice to Yoshi and his team and ourselves. If fishing really has issues then we'll be given a chance to express that to Yoshi even if it isn't until phase 3. He listens when the masses speak and we have a pretty loud voice me thinks.

My negativity has subsided a bit. I'd still really like to get some form of response on this, especially if all the noise we're making could push fishing to an earlier phase. Leaving it to the third just seems like a mistake if it's a brand new system that needs as much testing as the others. Like Aenarion said, the fact that it's not going to be given much testing just fuels my worry.

If it happens that the new system is absolutely rubbish, I hope we can bring about the same support we've managed to collect in these two threads again and make ourselves heard.

How upsetting it will be to participate in beta, walk past all the new and exciting lakes and rivers and not be able to fish in them! D:

Still hope we hear about fishing sooner than later!
I really hope they care enough about the feedback of fishing and allotted time enough to make changes especially if they've overhauled it as much as they say they have...
