I second this. p.o
Anyway, I'm pretty annoyed about not getting a chance to even look at fishing. The game is great, given everything I've seen so far (didn't try gathering), but I'm constantly reminded that FSH is among the few things I have left to level on my main.
I'm curious, though: are we going to be stuck in this "FSH isn't good enough!" mindset after we finally see it, or will we be relieved when we find it isn't as bad as anticipated? Even though it's supposed to be fairly relaxing, I just hope it's engaging enough for me to feel locked into leveling it.
Thirded!
I'm still very excited for fisher. They could have used the same UI/minigame that miner and botanist have, but have purposefully gone an extra length. Hints about group activities and boats excite me too. It sounds reasonably in-depth with the weather/location/bait resulting in different size fishes and if there are weekly competitions and rewards (a la FFXI), that would be cool too.
I'm not too bothered about every other fish no longer being an ingredient for sand. It's good there are still CUL and ALC recipes that use fish.
Don't really get why pplz are being so negative about it. Just because it didn't make it into B3? That's silly. We'll get a chance to play it before launch, if it's going to be your reason for subscribing or not. Everything else that's been mentioned makes it sound like it's going to be great!
