This was made because people (like me) thought it was two turtles. This shows how it's one.

Thats ok I thought it was a Caterpillar tortoise lol
Its awesome they can do monsters that large though. I really hope they introduce a collision system for these epic scale monsters XD

yeah i love it too.. it reminds me a little bit of Final Fantasy 12.
what i was really wondering.. in the "region tour" video at around >>7:52<< there is a region called "black brush station"
what does it mean? i mean it looks like a train station.. on the other hand yoshida declined that there is going to be a train ingame. or does it just have to do with a cole mine?
for me it really looks like a station for passengers.. but well i think its just my imagination.

In a gamerescape interview I read that it is for a mine - and while there is no riding content (or fighting) for it he said it isnt impossible.yeah i love it too.. it reminds me a little bit of Final Fantasy 12.

http://gamerescape.com/2013/02/21/ga...iv-media-tour/GE- Back at E3 you showed us Thanalan and I had pointed out the railroad track and at the time you couldn’t say anything about it. Is there any information you can give us on it now? I noticed while playing, that it’s maybe just used for the mines? But will it be used as a form of transportation? Or maybe other train elements from previous titles such as Doomtrain or the Phantom Train will be brought in?
Yoshida- To be honest, that kind of element hasn’t been implemented in the game yet. But perhaps in the future so please look forward to it.

Well lets hope this. because they named it "station" and it also looks like a train station.. kind of..In a gamerescape interview I read that it is for a mine - and while there is no riding content (or fighting) for it he said it isnt impossible.

i mean that "station":
like if you could walk through that door and behind there (2. screen) are the tracks for a train. but well ^^ would be too nice to be true
would be a REAL cool feature that no one other MMO has to offer.
by the way the graphics at this area looks amazing.. look at the architecture.. and the female lalafell. it just looks like a full 3d version of Final Fantasy 9 ^^
ha ^^

Looking amazing. Crazy how much work they've done and how many changes they've been able to implement in so little time... Even down to the ambient noise. Can't wait!

no one notice the bard playing the harp?

Game looks amazing. I loveeeee the new customizations too! yay =)

Yep, the gameplay is really going to be the "play it or move on" element for me. So far, from what I've seen, I've been underwhelmed (to put it mildly) as what we've seen so far looks like it's more of the same. Too much like what MMO developers have been pushing out for the past 6 years or so, trying to get a piece of the WoW pie, and ride Blizzard's coat-tails.Yeah, it's more inline with how FF games should look. Aside PS3 issues present that's also likely compression problems on PS3 footage (recording console gameplay can be touchy) I'm waiting to see how they handle the gameplay, since as people typically say on these forums: Graphics aren't everything. If they can make ARR actually standout gameplay wise rather than it feeling like the same old routine we're getting used to in MMOs these days it'd definitely be the FFXIV they wanted to get out the first time.
Still, Yoshi-P and co promise that there's more to come that we haven't seen yet; that FFXIV: ARR will bring some great, new content and unique gameplay systems to bear. I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that's the case.
Square has had a knack (at least in other games, namely FFXI since it's an MMO and most comparable to XIV), for taking familiar concepts and putting their own unique twist on them, making them interesting and engaging. I remember so many times seeing people theorizing, predicting and even claiming to "know" how some new gameplay element was going to work, only for it all to be proven completely wrong upon release. SE seldom did/do the obvious. I hope to see more of this in ARR.
They've had a knack for never doing anything half-way, or as token efforts. People asked for personal Chocobos in XI, for example. SE responded by implementing an entire system of raising them, along with related activities for them. And so on. I hope to see more of this in ARR, of them going all-in with anything they decide to introduce.
Finally, they've had a knack for keeping things mysterious. Wrapping things in layer upon layer of lore, history, and esoteric knowledge of the world and its goings-on. They've always given so much to wrap your head around. I hope to see more of this in ARR.
I'll overlook the quest markers and all the hand-holding elements if they provide enough for me to chew on and immerse myself in. If Eorzea is even half as fascinating, mysterious and intriguing a world as Vana'diel has been, I'll be quite happy. The world in a game (especially an MMO) is a huge part of the experience for me. I don't want it to be "merely a pretty backdrop". I want it to be an important and vital part of the experience. I hope to see and experience this in ARR.
