i dont know if this has been gone over already but does anyone notice when the bard is playing his hard that he still has the bow equipped then next to him is an archer with just the bow. Meaning there will actually be a need to bring the job and the class into battle????

Well if what was written in an interview (official and unofficial) translation is correct there can be skills that are class only.

It was written officially that Summoner will use essences of primals -instead- of carbuncle. And the unofficial translation of it said Summoners cant use carbuncle.

So.. if you carry that over to other things, its possible Yoshida has introduced class only abilities. Would mean you might want to go just ARC instead of BRD (or that duo job from one class is easier to do). Would also mean that jobs could have more abilities / distinctions from classes - but we are really getting ahead of ourselves with speculation so.. "maybe there is a reason(?)? lol)

Could easily just be a BRD without their harp out.

true true lol all speculation, but that would be awesome if there were class only abilities. then you use con as a "rdm" or come in as a whm with all healing abilities

So I've been watching the Tour video a lot, and I noticed this character that appears in the video a few time's. To me it looks like a Red Mage. I kept telling myself It could just be a GLD/PL wearing cloth but... that looks alot like RDM AF from FFXI. Except maybe they changed the color pallet so we wouldent really notice it.

So what do you guy's think?
