How about people that had account from 1.0 that will pay for next 10 months from ARR launch will have option to become Legacy Member.
This is hopefully support ARR for 10 months after launch for 1.0 accounts that want to become Legacy that didn't.
Will need least an active account since 1.0 and register it at the first month of ARR is launched.
Will need to have 10 months of payment after ARR launch within the first year.![]()
I love it really.
Not like everyone was advised in advance what was required to get Legacy and given the time to meet those requirements right? Right?
Oh wait...
Precisely, they complain about how every Legacy player is an elitist asshole, then they complain about the fact that they can't be elitist assholes too.

Another dumb thread. Didn't you learn how to look both ways before crossing the street? If you didn't and something hit you, thats your fault. You were giving warnings so many times, but you didn't take the initiative. And now you're dead or in the hospital b1tching? You wish you had another chance to cross the street? Pssh... go kick rocks. And how does Legacy = Elitist? Do any of you non-legacy have any common sense? Its like saying people who works in a big company are all rich. QQ moar, you only have yourself to blame.
Well to me it sounds like you have more issue with your BF getting legacy and not caring about the game more than actually qualifying for the Legacy yourself.
How about you claim your boyfriend's account and have this debate with him instead of bringing YET ANOTHER thread about "I didn't qualify for Legacy by few days" to the forums?
There will always (in everything that has a deadline) be those people who miss out by one day. It's a shame it was you this time, I am sure one day it will be me and I shall wipe away my tears with pride.
Now can we PLEASE move on... stop making new legacy threads, the horse is so beaten up that it's past animal cruelty :/
There is a little Monkey in all of us....
I'm glad someone else brought up Kickstarter, because that's really a great analogy to what we're talking about here:
- If you didn't buy FFXIV 1.0, you get nothing.
- If you bought 1.0, you get an extra free month of ARR, automatic access to Beta Phase 3, and to continue any characters from v1.0.
- If you stuck with the game in the early months, you got opportunities to help shape ARR through exclusive surveys from the Producer/Director.
- If you paid and played in 2012 prior to patch 1.23, you could get an exclusive Goobue mount.
Etc, etc.
I have funded a Kickstarter at a lower level and participated in its forum where people have forum titles as constant reminders of their tier level, and they sometimes mention and discuss their higher tier's unique rewards. Maybe there it's more obvious that every person had a choice of tier level, and maybe some experience envy of those higher tiers (that's probably just human nature). But nobody has ever demanded that either they get the higher rewards for free, or that others get stripped of them so everyone can be the same.
Please, everyone, realize that your ARR "reward" appropriately reflects your investment of both time and money. There's no shame in investing at the lower tiers. We're all a part of ARR's success going forward.

*Opens up Notepad, writes down a post to copy/paste for every Legacy QQ thread.*
I personally think they did ok with it and the conditions to qualify were actually quite relaxed.
There was a 9 month period where you had to pay for subscriptions and in those you had to pay for just 3 to qualify for legacy. thats 33% really not that much.
In some of these threads there were people who were stacking 30 day subs in august and qualifying for legacy. so there really was plenty of time and opportunity.
Do I have legacy? Yes. Did i try and get it? No.
I'm one of those people who bought 6 months (180 days) in January when they started billing. Thus I had effectively qualified for legacy before I even knew what it was. Then when they announced The legacy campaign in march/april I had already qualified.
I do honestly think that everyone had plenty of opportunity to qualify though. and that you only had to pay for 3 of the 9 months was quite a low requirement.
The question here is do legacy members that pay for that same 10 months in ARR get "Super Legacy" or "Legacy +1"How about people that had account from 1.0 that will pay for next 10 months from ARR launch will have option to become Legacy Member.

If you're going to reward some players for paying for 10 months in ARR you got to reward all of them.

Imagine the rage threads if those who on faith paid 6 months in advance were called...
Super Legacy!
