The whole Legacy debate wrapped up.

6 Months actually. Because they gave you so many free months you only had until June. June 30th was the cut off. That's it; that's the only date that matters.There wasn't a I'll pay for an extra month and can get Legacy option. Most of you are confused because you're listening to what SE said, not what actually happened.
Once again: I started playing July4th> Aug> Sept> Oct> Nov> And I played all the way up to Dec having fun and messing around with Synth, and people in my LS still playing.

I didn't' get the Legacy Chocobo: Ok no big deal.
I have to pay 5$ more a month: Ok that's fine, I don't mind paying for quality
I'm not guaranteed to get into Beta until Phase 3: huh?

So, are there more things only Legacy will get access to as well?

And now I read this article:

Yoshida impishly hinted that the full cinematic trailer offers a clue as to what Legacy characters will experience. He also told me that Legacy characters will have their home nations determined by their Grand Company affiliations, but this can be changed during the course of the main scenario (going into further details would be spoiling the plot)"

So.. I'm really hoping this Author is confusing 1.0 Players with Legacy players. That they are confused that Legacy doesn't = 1.0 players. OR.. They have CS's that only apply to Legacy players now?
Or are the markings the Chocobo gets, and Dalamud marks only for Legacy as well?

Legacy: I played before June 30th, If you started after this point. You're part of a group that is left out. People contacted SE and tried to pay more, they wouldn't let them, and you can't receive Email and warning about Legacy status for a game you haven't played yet, You could play 1.0 for Twice as many months as they said were required for Legacy and still not get Legacy because of their price model; does everyone get it now?

I do not want to sound mean or anything, but the fact is you missed the sale, and deal was over. What is done is done, as simple as that.

It is no different then missing a sale on Black Friday, or the Cyber Monday that follows right after.

All you can do now is hope that SE may bring back another similar "sale", and don't miss that one if it happens.

That's equivalent to what s/he said. 9 months to pay for 3 months means you couldn't start in the last 3. However if someone was billed for 2 months then quit before SE announced the Legacy campaign, they could resume playing as late as August, perhaps September, and qualify for Legacy.

June 30 was the cutoff for buying the 90-day subscription. Makes sense since after this there would be fewer than 90 billing days left.

If you started playing in May or June, you could purchase a 90-day subscription and qualify that way. If you started later, there weren't enough remaining billing days to qualify. At least that's how the FAQ posted on June 15 reads.

No matter what the cutoff date or qualifications, there are unfortunate people who would have qualified if only they started a few days earlier, or SE extended it a few days later, etc. That cannot be avoided.

He's probably describing what applies to all 1.0 players and characters. Likely only characters starting from scratch in ARR will begin in one of the 3 cities.

I didnt really want to post anything about this but it is kind if irritating, so your telling me you paid more then me cause you paid 13 dollars for the game and 30 dollars for 3 months.....
I bought the CE was registered in 2010 played through the pain A True legacy player hitting 30 with a char was like getting 4 50's up now.
To finish the story and my example i had to go overseas in the military came back paid from Sep till the end and missed out by a few weeks.
Now i Paid what almost 100 for CE and 2mo's of sub and played the game when it truly sucked but your a Legacy player,
Justify your delusions somewhere else....

Let's see: I paid for 2, not 1, but 2 CE's at launch... played from launch up till change to p2p, and got 3 classes to 50, and all the rest up to 20 pre-power level. Then when game changed to P2P i payed for 9months worth time.. I can pretty well tell you that i have paid for my legacy with both time and money...
I too was overseas for some time [different reasons mind you] so i just left the sub running...

OKay by 'Legacy' in the media tour Yoshi seems to be referring to 1.0 players, not just the ones with the Legacy logo on their accounts, I base that on the fact that he coined 'Legacy' mode for motion control instead of the back pedaling thing.

At this point he's now getting us confused but I really don't think 1.0 players will be excluded from that starting content since their characters ARE from 1.0.... That would make no sense.

No excuse. The offer had ended, "A few weeks" is akin to many days late on a deadline, would you expect that for offers in the job that you do? SE is making 2.0 though, so thanks anyway.]

You can't be part of the "Cool Kids Club" by saying the game sucked. That ship sailed long ago. Now you have to play other sucky games.

I recommend Battleship(PS3) or Clan of Champions(PS3).
